Informal Recruitment Info Session
Upperclassman women who are interested in informal recruitment will attend this meeting along with meeting with chapters open for Continuous Open Bidding.
Bid Day!
Bid Day, Best Day! PNMs will gather in a centralized location and will open up their Bid Cards and run home to their new chapter! Time and place are TBA, but please block out your whole day and night, as chapters have sisterhood retreats planned in the evening/night.
Preference Day
PNMs will visit up to two chapters on Preference Day. We will announce exact times that PNMs need to arrive and when will receive their exact, individualized schedules from their Rho Gamma. Please see our Attire page for information on what to wear.
Sisterhood Day
PNMs will visit up to four chapters on Sisterhood Day. We will announce exact call times that PNMs need to arrive and when will receive their exact, individualized schedules from their Rho Gamma. Please see our Attire page for information on what to wear.
Philanthropy Day
PNMs will visit up to six chapters on Philanthropy Day. We will announce exact times that PNMs need to arrive and when will receive their exact, individualized schedules from their Rho Gamma. Please see our Attire page for information on what to wear.
Open House Day 2
PNMs will visit all seven chapters throughout the span of the two Open House days. We will announce exact call times that PNMs need to arrive. Each day, PNMs will receive their exact, individualized schedules from their Rho Gamma. Please see our Attire page for information on what to wear.

PNM Information Session #3
This is 3 of 3 mandatory information sessions that PNMs are required to attend. Please check your email for more details.
PNMs will then meet in their Rho Gamma groups to have their questions answered and receive their recruitment t-shirt to be worn on Philanthropy Day.

This is 2 of 3 mandatory meetings for PNMs (Potential New Members). Even if you are remotely interested in joining a Panhellenic sorority, you should attend the meeting. PNMs are expected to attend all 3 information sessions. Please send meeting excuses to panhellenic@smu.edu.

Recruitment Registration
Students interested in participating in January 2023 Formal Panhellenic Recruitment must register for recruitment. Recruitment opens on Monday, September 5 at 8:00 a.m. CST and closes on Wednesday, November 30 at 5:00 p.m. CST.
Registration is online. The registration link will become available on the Panhellenic website.

Informal Recruitment Information Session
Location: The Auditorium in Hughes-Trigg Student Center, located on the ground level
Informal Recruitment is the process women may go through to join a sorority outside of Formal Recruitment. This process can be a great way to join a sorority. Each semester, up to 4 sororities are eligible to extend membership to women who are going through Informal Recruitment. The process occurs in Fall and Spring, however the chapters who are eligible may change every semester.
The requirements a woman must meet are the same for Formal Recruitment, however their grade level is also factored in. For Fall Informal Recruitment, a woman must be a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior. For Spring Informal Recruitment, which takes place after Formal Recruitment, second semester Freshmen may participate. The full requirements are listed below.
Must have completed and passed 12 hours with a semester 2.500 GPA at SMU or another University
Hold a cumulative GPA of 2.500 or higher
Not be on disciplinary probation or higher during any point in the previous semester
First semester Freshmen may not go through the Informal or Formal Recruitment process
Fraternity & Sorority Life Boulevard Takeover
Join us and the other three Greek councils (IFC, MGC, and NPHC) at the Main Tent during the FIRST Boulevard of the year! Come meet and hang out with active members representing all of our councils and chapters. There will be music, food, giveaways, and fun activities!
